SEED Center, Sustainable Education and Economic Development
The SEED Center, Sustainable Education and Economic Development is a new program launching in 2010 that will provide to all community colleges, for free, strategic guidance and a suite of green job workforce development resources including curricula, program guidance, career pathways and certifications, workforce projections, funding opportunities and more, in areas such as renewable energy, energy efficient technologies, green building and building efficiency. ecoAmerica has partnered with the American Association of Community Colleges on this program which will tap into the unprecedented opportunity to restore American prosperity via the clean energy and green economies. Green jobs are growing quickly and poised to grow faster than any other sector. The SEED Center will launch in October 2010 and empower the nearly 12 million Americans that attend community colleges annually to lead the 21st century green economy as skilled workforce.
